The Gulfi family’s philosophy is based on conservation and respect for nature. They maintain their forefathers’ high standards to preserve the ecosystem and natural balance in their vineyards. On these ancestral lands nature dictates the pace in both the vineyard and in the winery. The estate is certified organic and practices non-interventionist winemaking. The majority of the vineyards are located in south-eastern Sicily and the best vineyards consist of Gobeletpruned bush vines. An organic approach produces the best wines and is essential to obtain a viticulture that is in synergy with the environment, according to the owner, Vito Catania. Ruby red color with purple highlights. Nose of red berries, thyme and geranium. Full-bodied and lively on the palate with tight tannins and a nutmeg and red fruit finish.
